Buck writes you should learn how to cast and to troll. Both approaches are necessary if you want to give yourself the best overall chance at regularly catching fish. Along those lines, I found this great quote from the late Bill Murphy, trophy bass pioneer and author of, "In Pursuit of Giant Bass."
"I hate to troll," laments Murphy, "but I love to catch big, big, really giant bass. And [deep] trolling is so effective that I finally let my love overcome my hate."
