Sorry about your luck this week ice guys, but your time is coming - LOL. Score another open water weekend for us soft water guys. Lack of warming sun (only 38 degrees on the water) and predicted 20 mph gusts (winds steady at 15-17, gusting to 25 out of the north) kept me on the home lake today, but that wasn't a big deal. Gave me a chance to chase green fish again. Managed to land 11 largemouth despite a steadily (and rapidly) rising barometer, all on jigs from steep dropping banks and shorelines. Some stained water in the creeks and upriver from all the rain, but still good water clarity on the majority of the lake. Water temps ranged from 38.5 - 39.5 for the most part. No surprise I guess, but I was the only boat on the water today. That never hurts my feelings.
