Minnesota legend and Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame angler Ted Capra excerpted from a recent Classic Bass story - June 15, 2016
Ted also recalls his first encounter with legendary structure fisherman Buck Perry. “We met at a sportshow, and he told me to stand up,” Capra recalls. “I asked him why, and he said he wanted to see my back. When I did, he laughed and said, ‘Yup, you’re a bass fisherman,’ and pointed out how bass anglers always fish too shallow, with their backs to bass holding in deeper water.”
Capra became fast friends with Perry, and always remembered his advice. Over time, Ted and sons would become known as deep-water fishermen with an uncanny ability to pluck bass from offshore structure.
