Thanks for the info. on the skeg guard. Had trouble with mine last year and need to fix it. The Megaware skeg guard is just the thing. I will comment at another time as to whether it works. It seems to be easy to install, looks great and isn't too expensive.

That was pretty much my summation. Didn't want to bother with the hassle of tracking down someone to repair the skeg (plus the down time), and too new to replace the lower unit. So far, so good.
