I know a lot of Indiana anglers head to Lake St. Clair every year for both tourney fishing as well as recreation, primarily to chase big smallmouth bass, but also sample their walleye and musky fishing. For those that might be looking for a wealth of information on the area, you need to check out the Lake St. Clair Guide. Here's some of what's covered in the FREE guide:
"The Lake St. Clair Guide® includes detailed boating and fishing information for Lake St. Clair, and GPS coordinates for waterfront restaurants, boat fuel stores, marinas and boat wells on Lake St. Clair, Detroit River, St. Clair River, and Channels, on the water party stores, boat repair and services, boat rentals, clubs, fishing information, maps and charts, vacation homes and rental places to stay on Lake St. Clair; as well as event activity calendars for Lake St. Clair and surrounding Detroit & St. Clair Rivers' waterfront you will not want to miss!
The FREE 60-page high quality guide for "Boating and Fishing on Lake St. Clair" provides a one stop reference of information. The Lake St. Clair Guide® magazine includes Lake St. Clair, the St. Clair River, Detroit River, and connecting channels on the Michigan and Canadian shorelines."
Use the link above or click on the Lake St. Clair Fishing icon at the top right hand side of the site for info on how to get the 2014 copy, as well as view a lot of the information virtually at Kim's site.
Speaking of rental places up there, if you're tired of staying in hotels and want the comfort, space and conveniences of home, local Indy resident Tom Hulbert has a house he rents out on the north channel that leads into Anchor Bay. It's on the main channel with a 300 foot dock, power to plug in boats, etc. You can find out more at the following link: St. Clair Rental House.
Be sure and check out both of these sites if you're thinking of heading that way in the coming year.
