Sweet! Good catch guys! I was there today and they bit just as good for me as well but there were quite a few more people out there than that! No pictures because it was windy and I was by myself but the biggest I ended up with was right at 6 lbs. Gotta love Newton Lake. I'm glad I'm close enough to fish it at least once a week and usually more than that. Slay 'em next time too.

I'm not familiar with Newton Lake. I did a bit of searching though. Is this the Newton Lake in Illinois that is a warm water lake?

Yes it is the warm water lake here in Illinois. I live 40 miles from the lake. Was just there today and water was 53-75 degrees on the hotwater side. If the plant is running it stays pretty warm all winter.
