By now you've no doubt heard that KVD brought in the largest sack of the day to crush the competiton and easily win his 3rd Bassmaster Classic title. Heady stuff, but he still needs another to match Rick Clunn's 4 titles. I think he'll do that sooner or later, and probably get beyond that even.
In the mean time, the day 3 analysis of the BassTrakk numbers looked a lot like day 2.
Observers were reporting light today nearly across the board. There were 21 (84%) under-reported weights and 3 (12%) over-reported weights. One was exactly right. Of the 25 anglers, 21 fell outside our day 1 average criteria. The overall average percent discrepancy today was an almost identical match to day 2 at just under 20% or 1.56 pounds. Of interest is that the top two sticks with the biggest sacks today (KVD, Lane) were both over reported, though barely over our 7.5% allowance.
So take what you want from this, or just ignore it. I just couldn't help but to play with the numbers since they were such a large component of the day-to-day reporting.
